Koala

Koalas face many environmental issues which impact their conservation status, like habitat loss, and climate change. Climate change is the leading threat to the koala species and there is strong evidence that the impact of droughts and extremely high temperatures on koalas will not only increase in occurrence but in severity as well, like the recent bushfires in 2019 and 2020.
