Gelada Baboon

Gelada baboons are threatened with endangerment, and face issues like habitat destruction from livestock grazing and the expansion of agricultural land in their homeland of Ethiopia. As land is overgrazed it can lead to desertification, resulting in lacking crops and food for the Geladas. The expansion of agriculture, especially in the planting of eucalyptus trees has also affected the geladas, their quick growing nature inhibits grass growth and challenges the Geladas lifestyle.
